Stories of Hope

From Struggle to Strength—Stories That Inspire Hope.

Healed by Grace: A Child’s Miracle

Calvin’s family, one of the church’s rice beneficiaries, had been faithfully hearing that God is our healer. When Calvin was three years old, he began passing blood almost every day. Tests showed nothing, and doctors found no cause, yet the pain continued for eight long months.

Through it all, his mother never stopped praying, trusting God, and holding on to faith. Then one day, Calvin shouted with joy, “Mama, I’m okay! There’s no more blood!”—and with a smile, he said, “Thank You, Papa Jesus.”

What medicine could not explain, God healed—proving He is still the Great Doctor who answers prayers.

From Hunger to Hope:
A Love That Reaches Two Lives

Ann, just 4 years old, once faced each day with an empty stomach and an uncertain tomorrow. Living with her father—a weak and struggling pedicab driver battling heart disease—life had become a daily fight just to survive.

But through the daily feeding program in Aroma, everything changed. What seemed like a simple meal became a lifeline. Ann not only eats every day—she carries home hope in her small hands, saving a portion for her father who can no longer provide for her.

One meal, one child—but two lives are being sustained. In the middle of hardship, love found them, and it refused to stop at just one.

A Little Girl
Carrying a Big Love

Nicole is one of the most faithful kids in Kids Church every Saturday—always smiling, always present. But behind her joy is a heavy story. She is an orphan, caring for her younger sibling, with only their grandmother standing for them—old and tired, yet still washing clothes every day just to put food on the table.

Yet every Saturday, Nicole runs to church—not just to attend, but to feel the love she longs for. Through her ates and kuyas, she experiences the warmth of a family, and through every story, she hears how much Jesus loves children like her.

And the one full meal she receives that day? She brings it home and shares it with her younger sibling. In her small hands, love is never kept—it is always given.

With quiet hope, Nicole holds on to one simple prayer: that this love, this place, and this joy will never stop.
